The tutorial will show you how to make a beautiful glass ob, which contain the world inside. Like a magic ob, you often see in fairy movies. You could use this technique on various kinds of purpose such as creating water drop.
Step 01
Choose any image you like, and crop it into a square like this.
Then, you choose the Elliptical Marquee Tool to make a rounded selection. Next, you press Ctrl +C and Ctrl + V to paste the new cut into a new layer.
Step 02
Now, you go to the menu Filter -> Distort -> Pinch and set the value “Amount” is -40. You will have the result like below.
Step 03
In this step, you duplicate Layer 1, and then Ctrl + Click on the thumbnail beside the layer name to select it.
Go to the menu Filter -> Blur -> Radian Blur. The settings are:
- Amount: 61
- Blur method: Spin
- Quality: Control
Then go to the menu Select -> Modify -> Contract, set the value is 3
Then go to the menu Select -> Modify -> Feather, set the value is 20. Finally, press Delete button.
Step 04
Select the “Background” layer, go to menu Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur, set the value is about 35 pixels.
Step 05
Select the top layer, then duplicate it. Go to menu Layer -> Layer Style -> Bleding Options, and apply “Lighten” mode for both of those two layers.
Step 06
Select and resize the image smaller a little bit.
Step 07
Finally, create a new layer, then use Elliptical Marquee Tool to make a small selection and make a gradient from white to transparent, you will have the final result like this.

Hi.
I am looking for a tutorial that will teach me how to apply a motif to a drapery or upholstery (sofa). For example, applying a design to a surface, and the motif takes the form of that surface. Is there anything in Photoshop?
Thanks
